Biography

Masami Oobari, born on January 24, 1966 in Hiroshima, Japan, is a renowned anime director, animator, character designer, and mechanical designer. He began his career at Ashi Productions Co., Ltd (now known as Production Reed) after graduating from Hiroshima Prefectural Miyajima Technical High School. Oobari made his debut as a key animator on popular anime series such as Transformers and Tokusou Kihei Dorvack at the young age of 18.
