Ibuki Kido, born in Aomori Prefecture, Japan, developed a passion for becoming a seiyuu at a young age after being inspired by Nana Mizuki's character in Shugo Chara!. She began practicing by reading manga aloud and doing solo recordings of her readings. In 2010, Kido won the Koe Tamago! seiyuu audition on Tensai TV-kun MAX and went on to voice the lead character in the anime Anime jan!. She also made it to the finals of the 36th HoriPro Talent Scout Caravan before officially joining the agency.
