MUCC is a Japanese rock band that originated in Ibaraki, Japan in 1997. The band consists of three members: Tatsurou Iwakami on vocals, Masaaki Yaguchi on guitar, and Yusuke Fukuno on bass. The band originally included former member Satochi Takayasu on drums from 1997 until 2021. In 1999, YUKKE joined as the bassist, replacing ex-member Hiro. The name "MUCC" was chosen by guitarist ミヤ and was inspired by a character from the Japanese children's program Ponkickies.
