TWO-MIX is a J-pop duo formed in 1995 by Minami Takayama (vocals and composer) and Shiina Nagano (synthesizer and lyricist). Both artists had previous experience in the music industry before coming together to create fast electronic pop music. Takayama and Nagano first crossed paths in the early 1990s when Takayama, a renowned voice actress, was part of the indie band RE-X. The two eventually collaborated on Takayama's solo album, Endless Communication, in 1992 before forming the group Es Connexion and releasing an album together. TWO-MIX officially debuted in 1995.
