Biography

Masahiko Ootsuka is a renowned Japanese animator and director who graduated from the Department of Art at Osaka University of Arts. He began his career working at Studio Ghibli as a photographer before eventually moving to Gainax, where he made his directorial debut on several episodes of the iconic anime series, Evangelion. In 2011, Ootsuka departed from Gainax and went on to co-found the animation studio Trigger.
