Yun Kouga, also known by her real name Yamada Risa (山田理沙), was born on July 9, 1965 in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan. She is a Japanese mangaka who is married to fellow mangaka Tatsuneko and has a daughter. Kouga graduated from Mita Senior High School in Tokyo and currently resides in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. She began her career as a doujinshi artist, creating works based on popular series such as Saint Seiya, Captain Tsubasa, and Maouden.
