Chitose Hajime is a talented folk singer from Amami Ooshima, known for her distinctive falsetto effects. She gained recognition at a young age, winning folk song competitions and releasing traditional folk albums on an indie label. Despite initially studying to become a beautician, she turned to music after experiencing severe allergic reactions. In 2001, she released her self-titled mini-album, followed by another mini-album, "Kotonoha," in August of the same year.
