Biography

Ryo-timo, whose real name is Ryousuke Sawa (澤良輔), is a Japanese illustrator and animator born on May 6, 1979 in Hyogo Prefecture. He began his career as an amateur GIF animator before transitioning to a professional animator. Although he initially failed an examination test for Gainax, ryo-timo was scouted by Osamu Kobayashi to work on the television anime adaptation of the Beck manga. It was during this project that he met renowned animators Satoru Utsunomiya and Norio Matsumoto, with whom he would collaborate extensively in the future.
