Asaka spent her formative years from ages 3 to 8 in Michigan, USA, due to her parents' work. It was during her 5th grade that she fell in love with anime after discovering Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu's Hare Hare Yukai dance. Inspired by a music teacher in her first year of junior high school, she decided to pursue a career as a singer, citing May'n as a major influence on her desire to become an anisong singer.
