Biography

Makoto Moriwaki is a renowned anime director hailing from Hokkaido, Japan. She began her career as an animator at Shin-Ei Douga, where she worked on various projects before making her debut as an assistant director on Yakyuukyou no Uta and Ikkyuu-san. She later went on to become a storyboarder and episode director for the popular Doraemon television series. In 1982, Moriwaki joined Animaru-Ya, founded by former Shin-ei director Fukutomi Hiroshi, alongside Sanada Yoshinobu and Honda Toshiyuki.
