Boichi, originally from Korea, currently resides in Tokyo, Japan. From a young age, Boichi aspired to become a manga artist. He pursued a degree in physics in college to prepare for drawing science fiction works and to learn about performance imaging technology. He continued his education in graduate school, focusing on image technology. Boichi made his debut in 1993 in a manga magazine with shoujo manga.
